What happens to my deposit if I can no longer make it?

Unfortunately the deposit to secure your spot are non-refundable. Please ensure that you will be able to make the dates for the trip before you book.

Do you offer a refund?

Refunds are offered to guests up to seven days after the purchase. Although the deposits are non-refundable, we will refund your installment payment up to seven days after the single payment is made. No credits or rain checks offered. If by any means TTD cancels a trip, 100% refund will be issued to travelers.

Can guests make additional payments?

Yes, additional payments can be made and we will recalculate the remaining balance and you are able to skip the next month if you please.

Will I have a roommate?

Maybe! Whenever booking as a solo traveler, there may be a chance that you might share a room based on lodging, accommodations, and size of travel group. It would be outlined on the trips page if the room would be shared, if not mentioned you will be the only one in the room. Whenever booking as a couple, or pair, we can ensure you that you will be rooming with your plus one. Please state at the time of booking whether you intend to travel solo or with a companion.

Do I book my own flight?

Yes! In order to accommodate travelers from all over the world, our trips are priced as land only. Therefore, airfare is additional. You must book your own flight from your hometown to the vacation destination. After securing your spot with a deposit, a travel specialist can search and help you book the most reasonable flight for the trip. Is travel insurance required?

Travel Insurance is optional. While we encourage you to insure your investment, insurance is not required. Email us to get a quote - customerservice@thetraveldiaries.info

You are responsible to obtain travel insurance before your trip. We highly suggest getting flight cancellations and/or medical coverage abroad coverage.

How does the payment plan work?

After you submit your initial deposit, you will be responsible for the payments listed in the payment plan. Payments are due on the date listed in your payment plan schedule. We can also personalize a payment plan that fits you! Ask us how!

What happens if I am unable to make a payment on time?

Late Payments are given a 7 day grace period. If you have not paid the installment by the end of the grace period, a $25 late fee will be accessed to the account after every late installment payment if left unpaid. If your payment is still unpaid by the due date of the next installment, your spot on the trip could potentially be forfeited.

Can The Travel Diaries Experience be planned for a group of friends or large parties?

Absolutely! The Travel Diaries Experience can be for anyone! While our planned voyages will be for smaller intimate groups, for a fee, we can plan and coordinate a trip for your large party! Click here to start “Plan My Trip

If I miss the deposit, can I still sign up?

Yes, Sign ups for all trips will be available until the trip is completely full. We can help customize a payment plan that works for you. Please be advise slots are limited and is best to make your deposits by the due date.
